About CRMCA

Membership Benefits

The CRMCA offers many benefits to companies who choose to join our organization. In the last two years, our association has been directly responsible for legislative issues like:

  • Senate Bill 1. Restored sale and use tax revenues from vehicles back to the Highway Users Trust Fund.
  • SB 58. Established the Hours of Service Bill to allow for extended hours of service for ready mix truck operation during peak periods.
  • Overturned overly restrictive proposed rules that would have increased opacity limits for visible air quality at aggregate sites.
  • Passage of the Colorado Construction Minerals Reclamation Act which separates the Rock Products industry from the overly restrictive regulations within the hard rock mining industry.
  • Passage of SB 220. Rolled back a 12% increase in truck registration fees for the ready mix and aggregate industry.
  • Passage of more favorable rules to allow plant operators to relocate equipment on an emergency basis without air permits.
  • Passage of the Tarp Law Bill. Passed a state wide tarp law bill to effectively end attempts to pass other, more restrictive legislation that would have impacted the industry in adverse ways such as criminal penalties, large fines for loaders, and burdensome record keeping responsibilities.
  • Successful protection of the ready mix truck tax exemption
